Preserving your Bouquet in a Unique Way

After eloping in May, I wanted to do something special with my elopement bouquet, since I got my wedding bouquet pressed by Designs by Andrea (https://www.dbandrea.com/). I have been pressing and borax'ing flowers as a hobby for several years now, and I decided to give it a try on my elopement bouquet. During the flower pressing process, I thought of ways I could encapsulate the flowers for generations. Since resin has become so popular, I thought I would give it a try with my elopement bouquet. I found a tray mold off of amazon and a recommend resin kit from TikTok. I will link everything I used at the end of this post. Since my flowers were white peonies, the flowers did turn brown after pressing them. So, I decided to coat them with white pigment powder and white paint. I am still unsure of that process. The color ended up turning out okay in the resin but looked unrealistic when painting the flowers. I did not know anything about resin before making this tray, but I am really happy with the result. I think a resin piece, (ring holders coming soon), will make great gifts. So, family members, get ready for resin pieces for the holidays.
